The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and Viticus Group have announced a new partnership aiming to improve educational opportunities for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and the entire veterinary healthcare team.

“AVMA and Viticus Group have a shared passion for providing top-notch CE for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other veterinary staff and we are excited to launch this partnership," said Jose Arce, DVM, president of the AVMA, in an organizational release.

"This innovative new collaboration will couple the AVMA’s renowned Axon platform with Viticus’ strong hands-on programs to offer participants from across the veterinary team exceptional learning experiences," he added.

Combining the AVMA’s strength in digital education with Viticus Group’s successful hands-on training will offer team-based education both virtually and in person. Some of the curricula for veterinarians and veterinary technicians include courses covering topics such as dentistry and ultrasonography.

According to the release, additional offerings through this collaboration include newly developed programming such as continuing education during the WVC Annual Conference, the AVMA Annual Convention, and an Early Career Bootcamp anticipated to take place onsite at the Viticus Center in June 2022.

“It is perfect timing to announce this exciting new partnership with AVMA as we host the 94th Annual WVC Conference in Las Vegas. Together, our two organizations will leverage each other’s strengths to meet the rapidly evolving and diverse CE needs of our colleagues across the profession,” said Andrea Davis, CEO of Viticus Group, in the release.
