1. PetSmart will award $25,000 to K9s For Warriors, the nation's largest provider of trained service dogs for veterans. The funds will go towards K9s For Warriors' goal to end veteran suicide through the loving support of service dogs, many of which are rescues, at no cost to the service members.
2. Petco Love has granted around $1 million to support Helping Heroes, a program centering on organizations that transform shelter pets into heroes to assist those in need, primarily US veterans.
3. Pet Supplies Plus and Natural Balance have joined forces to raise awareness on the impact of service dogs on servicemen and servicewomen by donating $50,000 to Patriot PAWS Service Dogs. This donation will help the nonprofit continue to train and provide service dogs to disabled veterans for free.
