Matthew Brunke, DVM, DACVSMR, CCRP, CVPP, CVA: [The] four steps for rehab is No. 1: Identify the problem; be a good diagnostician. [No.] 2: Take the pain away; if they're [in pain], nobody wants to work out when [they're] sore, so [they're] not going to get better if [they're] hurting. After the pain is gone, get them stronger; get them back to doing what they enjoy doing eventually, and set up those goals to get to [that] and get [them] back to enjoying life.
