Some assistants will work hard to take the next step in the veterinary field by becoming technicians. But some have neither time, the money, nor the inclination to go back to school. That doesn't mean, however, that they should want to stop learning.
There are dozens of opportunities online, in journals and magazines, and at face-to-face conventions, conferences, and meetings to explore new medical information and tips to improve client compliance, recommendations, patient care, and more. Step up and offer your team members opportunities to attend team-focused education organized locally or nationally.
The CVC conferences are one option. The free Firstline magazine is another. And online learning is available all the time.
