St. Paul, Minn. - Dr. Trevor Ames is the new dean of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, after holding the post of interim dean for a year.

- Dr. Trevor Ames is the new dean of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, after holding the post of interim dean for a year.
The board of regents appointed Ames permanent dean on June 13.
Before becoming the interim dean in June 2007, Ames had served as chair of the college's veterinary population medicine department. He has been on the faculty since 1981.
A diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Ames earned his DVM degree in 1978 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan and a master's degree in 1981 from the University of Minnesota.
