Urine Biplate is a fast, easy and cost- effective way of screening and identifying E. coli, the company says.

Inoculate both sides of the biplate with a urine specimen. If the infecting organism is E. coli, the colonies on the chromogenic side of the biplate will turn blue. The blue color is confirmatory for E. coli. No further confirmation or indole testing is required, the company adds.
