-- Equine veterinarians will meet March 5-6 to discuss stem cell and regenerative therapies at the first UC-Davis North American Veterinary Regenerative Medicine Conference.
Topics will include harvesting, expansion, cryopreservation and clinical applications of stem cells in horses.
Presentations and breakout sessions will be led by faculty from U.S. and Canadian schools as well as veterinarians from Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center in nearby Los Olivos, Calif., and Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
The conference will be held at the Santa Ynez Marriott.
