When getting started with using video at your veterinary practice, Bill Schroeder, senior vice president of InTouch Practice Communications, suggests a few things.

First, gear up. Schroeder says you can use your smartphone to start with, but purchase an inexpensive smartphone tripod along with some sort of audio device to go with it. When creating the video, you need to practice beforehand and do your best to be clean, concise and timely. Schroeder says no one has a bunch of time to watch a bunch of content. For that reason, he suggests keeping videos for traditional purposes between 2-3 minutes. Lastly, develop a header if you can, or an intro image to somehow brand your veterinary practice with the video.
