Amy Pike, DVM, DACVB, IAABC-CABC: The Adaptil pheromones can be used. Certainly, the less scented products, the better, because dogs and cats especially can be very upset by certain scents, and that can be really overwhelming to the pet. I wouldn't say they're sort of like promoted by Fear Free, but for clinic use there are tubs, and I have one of these at my clinic, where the side actually extends into a ramp and then you can teach the dog to walk up the ramp into the tub themselves.
