Vet Tech Institute encourages students to take online training.
After completing the IDEXX VetTest Certificate Course herself, Lisa Szafranski, LVT, an instructor at the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, decided to include it in her syllabus as a real-world learning tool. The course-one of the IDEXX Learning Center's online training modules-gives students an understanding of the diagnostic tools commonly used in today's busy practices.
The self-paced Web course provides students with an overview of basic chemistry definitions while delving into the features and operation of an IDEXX analyzer. Those who complete the course earn three CE credits and receive a certificate. And here's the best part: This free, RACE-certified course isn't just for students at the Vet Tech Institute.
All of the center's online courses are available to any team member who wants to stay current on the latest diagnostic research and procedures. The site, idexxlearningcenter.com, is also developing an online library of quick tips and brief tutorials for team members to review at work so they can immediately apply what they learned to their practices.
