The companies will work together to communicate the announcement to existing clients and patients. Service and customer support to veterinarians and their clients remain priorities to Merial and Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, the companies say.
Metacam will continue to be available through a nationwide network of distributors. The change took effect May 28.
Veterinary customers will receive mailings detailing the transition and contact information.
