Rarebreed Veterinary Partners announces acquisition of Vet's Best Friend

Rarebreed Veterinary Partners has acquired Vet's Best Friend (VBF), a Massachusetts-based veterinary group. This marks 47 new locations for Rarebreed's 71-practice community, making it among the largest practice groups nationwide.

According to a company release,¹ it will be headquartered in Portland, Maine, and is mainly supported by Revelstoke Capital Partners. The company united is one of the most well-capitalized veterinary health platforms in the US. It is positioned for rapid future expansion through acquisition and building veterinary clinics.

Both Rarebreed and VBF aim to take care of the people who take care of pets. They collaborate with hospital owners to foster a relationship that works for them, rather than practicing the one-size-fits-all partnership model.¹ Together, the 2 entities include general practice, urgent care, and specialty emergency hospitals, and will work to develop a vast network that prioritizes healthcare teams. Plus, they will provide the required innovation and technology to expand, enhance, and optimize service.
