Technicians now enjoy more ways to develop expertise.
Credentialed technicians now enjoy three new specialization options, as recently announced by the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA). In addition to the existing technician specialties in dentistry, anesthesia, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, and behavior, specialties from these organizations have been recognized:
• Neurology subspecialty of the Academy of Internal Medicine Veterinary Technicians, which joins the other subspecialties in small animal medicine, large animal medicine, cardiology, and oncology. Learn more at aimvt.com.
• Academy of Veterinary Zoological Medicine Technicians
• Academy of Equine Veterinary Nursing Technicians
