Denver-The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) introduced its 2004-2005 board of directors at the association's 71st Annual Meeting in Tampa in April.
Denver-The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) introduced its 2004-2005 board of directors at the association's 71st Annual Meeting in Tampa in April.
Dr. Dennis A. Feinberg, owner of Charles Towne Veterinary Clinic in Charleston, S.C., was elected president. Feinberg has served AAHA in a number of roles, in addition to holding board positions with the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians and the South Carolina State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.
Dr. Daniel S. Aja, practice director of Cherry Bend Animal Hospital in Traverse City, Mich., was elected president-elect. Aja has been active in several professional organizations, including serving as president of the Northwestern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, the small animal representative to the Michigan State Veterinary Alumni Council and area director for the Michigan VMA.
Dr. Michael P. Andrews, owner of the Woodcrest Veterinary Clinic in Riverside, Calif., was elected vice president. Andrews has served as a director on AAHA's board of directors since 2000, is a former delegate to the AVMA House of Delegates and a past president of the California Veterinary Medical Association and the Orange Belt Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Steven A. Rogers, co-owner of the Falls Church Animal Hospital in Falls Church, Va., was elected secretary and treasurer. In addition to serving AAHA in several roles, Rogers is a founding member and past president of the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Northern Virginia and past president o f the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association.
AAHA installed two new directors at the annual meeting.
Dr. Heidi Burnett practices at the Animal Hospital of Oshkosh, Wis. and owns p.r.n. Veterinary Associates, a consultation and relief practice in northeastern Wisconsin. Dr. Linda Ross owns and practices at Laurelhurst Veterinary Hospital in Portland, Ore. Burnett and Ross were elected to their first two-year term as directors.
