Phoenix-The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) reorganized its 70th annual meeting, March 22-26.
The revamped conference includes sessions that invite practice team membersto meet together daily to learn to improve their practices. The specialsessions will address protection against malpractice, practice accreditation,client compliance, canine vaccine guidelines and economic influences onthe profession.
AAHA! Sessions are just one highlight of the more than 300 hours of continuingeducation for veterinarians, practice managers, technicians and office personnel,AAHA reports.
Highlights of the scientific program are presentations on gastroenterology,dentistry, endocrinology, urology, surgery, dermatology, among other subjects.Additionally, scientific tracks will be developed in collaboration withother veterinary organizations including American College of VeterinaryInternal Medicine, Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society and theAmerican Board of Veterinary Practitioners.
Interactive hands-on labs will focus on ultrasound, endoscopy, echocardiographyand dental radiography.
A headliner for the management program is the new "Evolution ofPractice to $1.5 Million and Beyond" track featuring veterinary businessexperts who will discuss management, ownership options, expansion and exitstrategies. The management series also offers tracks in practice cultureand professional development.
As another effort to include the entire practice, AAHA is debuting theClient Service Skills program, featuring customer service presentationsand designed for front-office staff and office managers.
