Plus, she celebrates all veterinary technicians for all that they do during National Veterinary Technician Week and every week before or after.

Alyssa Mages, BS, CVT: I didn't fall into [becoming a veterinary technicinan] it was just a different path that I took but really understand what it means. Do you need to have a bachelor's degree? No, you don't. There are some programs that are 2 years [and] some that are 4 and you get your bachelor's. There are online programs. So really don't fall into it thinking 'Well what else am I going to do' recognize that you have a real interest in it and you care about making a difference
