SCHAUMBURG, ILL. — The One Health Initiative Task Force met Nov. 28-30 at American Veterinary Medical Association offices with American Medical Association President Ron Davis (right) in attendance.
The 13-member group is charged with strengthening the relationship between animal and human medicine and articulating a vision of one health that will enhance the integration of animal, human and environmental health. The collaboration aims to help physicians and veterinarians better recognize, monitor and respond to outbreaks of zoonotic diseases, officials say.
