Washington, D.C. - The American Veterinary Medical Association hired John W. Sullivan III to advance the group's agenda in Washington.
Washington, D.C. — The American Veterinary Medical Association hired John W. Sullivan III to advance the group's agenda in Washington.
The new legislative policy and program coordinator works out of the AVMA Governmental Relations Division (GRD) office, overseeing fellowship and externship programs for veterinarians.
Sullivan is a former intern and staff member for Rep. William Clay (D-Mo.) and Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.).
"I am honored to join the AVMA team," Sullivan says in a news release. "I look forward to advancing both the fellowship and externship programs so both AVMA members and lawmakers can realize the impact the veterinary profession can have in shaping public policy."
