AVMA hires assistant director of education, research
Schaumburg, Ill. -- The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) hired Kenneth A. Clever, DVM, as an assistant director in its Education and Research Division.

-- The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) hired Kenneth A. Clever, DVM, as an assistant director in its Education and Research Division.
Clever will help oversee accreditation of veterinary technician education programs.
"I am pleased to join the AVMA team and welcome the opportunity to utilize my varied experiences in practice and academia in supporting the accreditation process and the advancement of veterinary technician education and activities," Clever says.
"I believe strongly that veterinary technicians are a critical element of the animal-care team and that the success of veterinary practices in the future will depend on the quality of education available to the next generation of veterinary technicians."
Clever, who received his doctorate in veterinary medicine from The Ohio State University in 1969, will assist the division director and other staff to help propose, develop and implement programs for accreditation of veterinary technology programs.
He has 22 years' experience in veterinary education.
