Schaumburg, Ill. -- The AVMA has approved a five-city convention site rotation that should help bolster meeting attendance by appealing to veterinarians' desire to visit tourist destinations.

-- The AVMA has approved a five-city convention site rotation that should help bolster meeting attendance by appealing to veterinarians' desire to visit tourist destinations.
Starting in 2015, the AVMA will hold its annual meeting in cities in five U.S. regions - western, mountain, central, southern and eastern.
The prior rotation was comprised of three regions.
The new rotation will be effective through 2024.
While convention locations for 2015 and beyond will not be named until April, AVMA has selected Denver has its 2014 meeting location.
Denver was host to the AVMA's 2003 Annual Convention, which set a record for attendance.
The 2009 Annual Convention, which runs July 11-15, is slated for Seattle.
