This exciting veterinarian-only virtual event offers them the chance to connect with others in the community while enjoying a relaxing, fun night.
On Sunday, January 30, 2022, Bond Vet is hosting Paint Your Pet & Sip Night at 7 pm EST over Zoom. At this free event, veterinarians have the opportunity to paint their pets and sip on their drink of choice as they are led by Andrea Caceres, a NYC-based illustrator, designer, and book maker. Once registered, Bond Vet will send participants wine and a paint set.
“[There’s] no experience needed, [it’s] just a relaxing night to paint your pets,” explained Jesse Longo, LVT, Bond Vet medical operations manager, in an interview with dvm360®.
“[You can paint] your pets that are in the room with you or some folks have pictures of their family pets that they use as a reference. Veterinarians from all over the space are invited, anybody's welcome to come whether or not you’re in the area.”
Bond Vet was inspired to host a Paint Your Pet & Sip Night because the company strives to give back to the community and bring the industry together whether that’s through medicine or connecting over shared experiences like this. Attendees can use the night to spark new relationships, expand their networks, or rekindle those with colleagues they may have not seen in a while.
Additionally, it offers a low stress night—something that those in the veterinary field can especially use at this time.
“It’s so stressful right now in all of our clinic environments, so what I’m looking forward to most with [Paint Your Pet & Sip Night] is seeing everybody share in the joy of being able unwind, disconnect and, and relax a little bit. There's always some really fascinating and engaging stories that come up so I love seeing veterinarians from all walks of life interact with each other,” said Longo.
What's the most exciting part of Paint Your Pet & Sip Night? According to Longo, it is the big reveal at the end where everyone showcases their paintings and others are awed by the variety of colors, shapes, and sizes of each companion animal portrait.
