Bonuses are more than a way to say thanks at VetSelect Animal Hospital in Novi, Mich. They're a bonding tool that helps team members appreciate each others' efforts. Here's how it works: Full-time employees earn two blank bonus certificates and part-time employees earn one certificate every pay period. Then they give the blank certificates to co-workers of their choice. Once team members collect 20 certificates, they can choose one of several gift cards or deposit the equivalent dollar amount into their pet's practice account to pay for future care.
