This full-day seminar will present practical information relating to canine orthopedics for small animal practitioners. The discussion will cover orthopedic assessment, screening for orthopedic diseases, pediatric orthopedics, orthopedic injuries and their management, and geriatric orthopedics. Participants will learn to assess mobility, limb use, and joint health, in patients with orthopedic problems. They will also learn screening strategies for dogs at risk for classic orthopedic diseases, management strategies for classic orthopedic injuries, and become familiar with bracing, orthoses, and prostheses. Veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and veterinary students interested in orthopedics and sports medicine are welcome to attend.
