Chewy Health appoints new president

Chewy Health announced that Mita Malhotra will serve as the company’s new president. Within her new role, Malhotra will be in charge of driving long-term growth through building products and services to help bridge the gap between pet parents to veterinary partners.

“The pet health space is incredibly dynamic with evolving pet parent expectations and a changing veterinary landscape. We see many opportunities where Chewy can uniquely create value through innovation that is grounded in customer-centricity.” Malhotra told dvm360®.

Prior to working at Chewy, she served 8 years at Dell overseeing the companies Consumer PC division and then as Category Leader for Amazon. In 2018, Malhotra joined Chewy to build Chewy Pharmacy which lead to the launches of Practice Hub, Chewy’s in house compounding pharmacy, Connect with a Vet, and CarePlus.

“We have created a robust, technology-driven ecosystem of products and services to reimagine the pet healthcare journey for everyone, including pets! I am energized with this expanded role of President as we pioneer new solutions to connect care, commerce and convenience for the benefit of pet parents and veterinarians alike,” she concluded.
