Chicago native George Robinson, DVM, MSPH, knew from a young age that veterinary medicine was his calling. Now, after garnering more than 30 years of experience, including becoming the CEO and cofounder of Heartland Veterinary Partners, Robinson is offering insight on how to foster diversity and inclusion within and outside the profession. “There’s not enough diversity because we’re not leading with intention,” Robinson tells Adam Christman, DVM, MBA, in this episode of The Vet Blast Podcast.
“The intention has to be, ‘we need and want you to be here.’” He adds that welcoming diversity is a necessity. The more diversity, the more powerful and innovative the community can become.
