Fear Free: Tell clients why you bother

Better vaccinations, kinder physical exams and taking time to relax and reward pets in the veterinary practice are all crucial parts of creating a lower-stress visit. But if you don't tell pet owners why you're doing and why, you're leaving it to them to guess.

In a well-attended session at CVC San Diego this month, Drs. Jonathan Bloom and Karen Felsted shared great reasons why veterinary practices should try low-stress pet-focused Fear Free methods, offered a ton of ways to start in small (and big) ways and then the business justification for such a big change.

The part that captivated me? Their emphasis, not just on DOING right, but COMMUNICATING right.
