-- "Chew on This," a new food-safety podcast series offered by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), got off on the right drumstick in November with a Thanksgiving-theme program about poultry safety and holiday dinners.
The biweekly podcasts will address hot topics in food safety, from leftovers to cloned meat.
"America's veterinarians play key roles in food safety, and these podcasts offer us an opportunity to speak directly to consumers, many of whom may not be tuned in to the latest science and research surrounding the food we eat," says AVMA President Dr. James Cook.
The podcasts can be accessed through an RSS Feed, through Apple's iTunes store or on the AVMA's food safety advocacy site.
