BREA, CALIF. — Ear infections and skin allergies commonly plague dogs while urinary tract infections and stomach conditions often afflict cats.
That's according to Veterinary Pet Insurance's (VPI) annual claim results, tallied by the nation's largest insurance carrier for animals. Company numbers show 9 percent of all claims for dogs were submitted for ear infections and close to 7 percent of all claims for cats were related to feline lower urinary tract disease last year.
