Denver-For all the managers new to veterinary medicine, the American Animal Hospital Association offers a tailored meeting, the Veterinary Management Development School Level One.

The meeting is scheduled for Oct. 23-26, 2002, and again, April 9-12,2003 in Denver.

Specialized curriculum is structured on five core areas: marketing, finance,human resources, business planning and client satisfaction.

Registration fees are $749 for members; $949 for nonmembers.

In additional news, AAHA and Purdue University's Krannert Graduate Schoolof Management are co-hosting the Veterinary Management Institute's 13thSeries human resource module, Oct. 24-27 in West Lafayette, Ind.

Designed for the veterinarian or practice team manager, VMI studentsattend four three-day modules on human resource management, marketing management,financial management and strategic thinking.

Each graduate receives 72 hours of graduate-level management educationand a certificate in veterinary practice administration upon completionof all modules.
