Baby boomers learn A goes to B, B goes to C and C goes to D — lineally. Gen Xers learn A goes to B and B is connected to these 3 or 4 things, which is more organic, but still following a lineal pattern.

But millennials learn A goes to C and C goes to F — they have a 12-second attention span, Romano says. For this generation, you need to say, "Here are the things you need to learn, here's the timeframe you need to learn it in and here are the people that can help you learn."
