In his new position, Steve Shell will lead MWI Animal Health.
AmerisourceBergen has named Steve Shell president of its Animal Health business and will lead MWI Animal Health—a distributor of animal health products and services in the US and United Kingdom.
According to a company release,1 Shell will also be responsible for:
MWI will further innovate and invest in solutions that promote the ever-changing customer needs (ie, veterinarians, livestock producers, ag-retailers, and manufacturers) under Shell's leadership. Additionally, the company will focus on solutions and partnerships that enable it to form more sustainable, responsible operations throughout the supply chain.
According to the release,1 Shell was previously senior vice president of commercial operations at MWI. Before joining AmerisourceBergen in May 2020, Shell served as executive vice president of insurance operations and partnerships at Fetch, Inc.
Before Fetch, Inc., he was vice president and general manager of the US companion animal business unit at Merck, where he managed commercial, operational, and technical functions in the US Pet, Equine, and HomeAgain Technology business units. Additionally, Shell worked at Pfizer Animal Health, leading their US Companion Animal and Cattle Business Units.
