The week-long celebration honors the hard work and dedication of practice management professionals
The Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) is showing its gratitude this November for its members during Practice Manager Recognition Week, which is November 10-16, 2024. The week is dedicated to the veterinary practice managers to showcase and celebrate the contributions these individuals bring to their hospital and clinics every day.
“VHMA is happy to continue the tradition of honoring practice managers’ hard work and dedication by dedicating a week to exclusively highlight these exceptional individuals and contributions to their practices,” said Christine Shupe, CAE, VHMA executive director, in an organizational release.1
Throughout the week, the VHMA will provide veterinary practices with social media content and ideas to help them show their managers are important they are to them. The week will also be promoted on the VHMA’s social media accounts and will invite veterinary practice managers to celebrate themselves with self-care, according to the organizational release.1
VHMA shared multiple ways to honor your practice manager, including2:
"As a former practice owner, I have experienced firsthand how essential practice managers are to the success of any veterinary clinic. Their expertise in managing the business side of the practice allows us as veterinarians to focus fully on what we do best: caring for our patients,” expressed Sandra Faeh, DVM, president of the American Veterinary Medical Association.1
“Whether they are handling finances, human resources, marketing, organizational issues, or the complex logistics of daily operations, practice managers are the backbone that keeps everything up and running smoothly. We are proud to join the VHMA in recognizing these skilled professionals who work tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring that our practices thrive, and our veterinary teams and clients receive the support and resources they need."
