Ban bad owners, not breeds.
I want to personally thank the veterinarian mentioned in "The Luckiest Penny" (January 2009). How she saved Penny the pit bull's life after Penny was thrown out of a moving truck touched my heart incredibly. I'm a huge advocate for these gentle, loving canines that are mislabeled as mean and harmful. It's people like the ones who abused and abandoned Penny that cause cities to ban this breed for reasons that I think are beyond the dogs' control.
