Ivan Zak, DVM, MBA, joins this episode of The Vet Blast Podcast to discuss burnout issues plaguing the veterinary profession. He shares the results of a study examining these issues and what his organization Galaxy Vets is doing to combat them.

Ivan Zak, DVM, MBA: We repeated [our burnout study] in 2021, and the results show that we're 9.4% more burned down than the year before. The technicians are more burned out than the veterinarians, as it has been before...I think we need to pay close attention to that...[For the] first five years out of school, the younger vets burn out more than the baby boomers and the older generations. There is low work-life balance across all the groups.
