Team members at Fremont Veterinary Hospital in Canon City, Colo., recycle IV bags to make waterproof boots for their patients with bandaged feet or splinted legs. "We cut the bottom of the empty bag and let it dry," says Stacy Murphy, client care specialist. "Then we punch four holes in the top of the opened end and run gauze through the holes for the laces. This allows us to place the boot over a foot and tie it around the leg," she says.
