OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) task force is looking into proposing legislation that would provide state regulation for pet-production facilities.
The issue is being addressed because Oklahoma veterinarians are included in complaints against kennels and catteries. No state regulatory agency oversees pet-production facilities, so owners are filing complaints against veterinarians listed on their animals' health certificates, officials say.
