Bright Minds UK will be presented this year at the London Vet Show
This year, the Bridge Club is launching its first Bright Minds UK award and will present at the London Vet Show. The awards honor the brightest minds, wellness champions, and game changers within the veterinary industry. The awards will be presented in partnership with London Vet Show, VetCT, and IDEXX.
“This is a veterinary industry-driven award, meaning anyone in the profession can nominate an individual in a practice, within the profession or honor a full team for their efforts to advance veterinary care,” says Harry Norman, event director for the London Vet Show, in an organizational release.1 “We are thrilled to be a part of celebrating the rising stars in veterinary medicine.”
The Bright Minds UK, like the US version, will consist of the following categories:
"This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the tireless efforts of those who toil diligently, often behind the scenes, to make this profession great and progress both animal and human health and welfare," said Liz Barton, MA, VetMB, MRCVS of VetCT, in the release.1
Each winner of the Bright Minds UK awards will receive free registration to the London Vet Show, recognition on stage at the conference, a Bright Minds Award, and £1,000, which is equivalent to $1,276 USD.
The Bright Minds award has been presented to 14 professionals and organizations since its creation in 2018, including dvm360®’s very own chief veterinary officer Adam Christman, DVM, MBA, who won the Industry Influencer award and was presented the award during the Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, earlier this year.2
What an honor to win this wonderful category. I'm so proud to be in a profession that gives voices to the voiceless. Creating an educational and fun impact for colleagues, students and pet parents is what my legacy is all about and am proud to have been recognized for these efforts. Thank you to the Bridge Club for having a platform to celebrate colleagues in the profession,” expressed Christman, after he found out he had won the Industry Influencer award.2
These awards are open to anyone working in the veterinary industry. Anyone interested in learning more, or nominating themselves or a colleague, can visit the Bridge Club’s website to learn more. Nominations will be accepted until August 31, 2023.
