Tasha McNerney, BS, CVT, CVPP, VTA (Anesthesia and Analgesia): It's really exciting right now, looking at not only from a pain management perspective but also from an anesthetic perspective, the use of ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. And this is where we use an ultrasound to really target in where that nerve is. So we're placing the local anesthetic, or the block, very close to that nerve, we're kind of bathing that nerve in local anesthetic so that way, all of the transmission of those painful signals is completely cut off.
