Kirsten Oliver, VN, DipAVN (Surgical), CVT, CCRP, CVPP, VTS (Physical Rehabilitation): I think the biggest thing for me [about rehabilitation] is the stiff, the old, and the creaky. Being able to give an owner a little more time with their pet by improving on their pain management and their joint mobility is huge. We speak for the voiceless, [pets] can't tell us, 'I'm stiff,' 'I'm sore,' but our dogs want to go for walks, they want to please us...and they will push themselves and make themselves sore and I think it's up to rehab practitioners...to be able to give that back to the owner...is the biggest reward.
