The Veterinary Hospital Managers Association has named its new president: Michelle Gonzalez-Bryant.
The group most focused on professionalizing the role of practice manager, the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) has named Michelle Gonzales-Bryant, CVPM, its new president. Gonzales-Bryant assumed the presidency at the VHMA's 2019 Annual Meeting and Conference in Glendale, Arizona.
Michelle Gonzales-BryantGonzales-Bryant is a corporate regional operations director for VCA, an operator of more than 900 animal hospitals in the United States and Canada. She began her veterinary career more than 27 years ago, working as a kennel attendant, receptionist, veterinary assistant, surgery technician and hospital manager.
Gonzales-Bryant has been a VHMA member since 2006 and has held several positions on the VHMA Board of Directors, most recently as treasurer.
“VHMA is fortunate to have Michelle at the helm,” said VHMA executive director Christine Shupe. “She is a proven leader with a wealth of experience who is interested in sharing her expertise with other managers and helping them grow professionally.”
Gonzales-Bryant and her husband reside in Gilbert, Arizona. They recently adopted their two young daughters in October 2018. She and her husband are also pet parents to three pit bulls.
