Jeanette L. Maucher, DVM

Maucher grew up in New York's Hudson Valley and received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Binghamton University. She spent several years working in veterinary hospitals before attending Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2011 with her doctorate degree. She currently practices at Heart + Paw’s Family Partner, South Peak Veterinary Hospital, in Saugerties, New York.

Maucher's veterinary interests are surgery and dentistry, preventive and senior care, pain management, and feline medicine. She practices low-stress handling and continually pursues the most current information on best practices for patient wellness.

She shares her home with 2 feline companions—Radagast Jaskier and Tauriel Merigold— and 1 corn snake houseguest, Mia. When she isn’t performing the role of veterinarian, she plays violin and guitar, writes, bakes, and gardens, and attends Renaissance festivals and various cons.
