In advance of National Pet Diabetes Month in November, the Diabetes PetCare Alliance program is now accepting enrollment.
For the fifth consecutive year, Merck Animal Health, Purina, and Zoetis are collaborating through the Diabetes PetCare Alliance to provide educational materials and diagnostic tools about diabetes mellitus—a disease that affects an estimated 1 in 230 cats and 1 in 300 dogs— for participating veterinary practices and pet owners.
In addition to awareness and screening tools, the Diabetes PetCare Alliance will provide a free disease management kit from participating clinics for each client whose pet is diagnosed during the program period. Each kit will include:
