5 ways to radiograph the maxilla of cats

Whether you're faced with film radiographs or dancing in the halls with digital radiography, these are five fabulous ways to radiograph your feline patients' palate and upper jaw.
1. The Crowning Achievement
(Photo: Pat March)Place sensor/film/phosphor plate parallel with the crowns of the teeth. Position the tube head nearly perpendicular to the sensor.
2. The Right Angle (That's Not a Right Angle)
(Photo: Pat March)Place the sensor parallel with the crowns of the teeth. Position the tube head at a 30-to-60-degree angle to the maxilla.
3. The Molar Imperative
(Photo: Pat March)Place the sensor at an angle to the mandible, anchoring the edge with the mandibular molar tooth. Position the tube head nearly perpendicular to the sensor.
4. The Palatable Choice

5. The Extra(-Oral) Credit
