Co-owner of Mount Laurel Animal Hospital shares his thoughts on being not only a veterinarian but a brewery owner as well.

In an interview with dvm360®Christopher Torre, VMD, co-owner of Mount Laurel Animal Hospital (MLAH), shared how he became the proud owner of Dr. Brewlittles—a pet-friendly brewery located in Maple Shade, New Jersey, plus how he manages being both a veterinarian and business owner.

“I have always had a passion for drinking beer, and I tend to like some of the more exotic and eclectic beers,” Torre told dvm360® staff. “So it seemed like a great way to kind of inspire some of that and put my own two cents into it. It has been a whirlwind for sure, but I have really enjoyed it."

When asked if he struggled balancing being both a brewery owner and veterinarian, Torre simply said "no," stating that running the brewery is a nice change of pace from the normal grind of being a veterinarian.

“I think it takes a certain skill set to try and decide which battles to pick, what things to focus on, and where to invest time and energy,” said Torre. "But it has been a great balance for me truthfully.”
