A New Way to Educate Clients About Pet Dental Health

There's not enough time in an exam room appointment to educate each client on the importance of dental care for their pet, says Vickie Byard, CVT, VTS (Dentistry), veterinary technician dentistry specialist at PetED Veterinary Education and Training Resources. To make things easier, her veterinary practice created a short video series for clients to watch.

Byard tells each client that when they view the video series and answer a short quiz about it, they get a one-time, 10 percent off coupon. She has found that educated clients come in to the practice every year, meaning patients are having less extractions and the bills are less for clients.
