LEXINGTON, KY. - William Moyer, DVM, professor of sports medicine and head of the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at Texas A&M University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, was named 2009 vice president of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP).
LEXINGTON, KY. — William Moyer, DVM, professor of sports medicine and head of the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at Texas A&M University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, was named 2009 vice president of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP).
He will join the group's executive committee in 2009 and become AAEP president in 2011.
Moyer, who came to Texas A&M in 1993 after more than 20 years on the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine faculty, is a recognized expert on equine lameness.
Earlier this year, he traveled to Iraq with a U.S. team assessing postwar reconstruction needs. His role to was to help evaluate the state of veterinary education in Iraq.
