Austin - 11/13/2007 - The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) plans to launch what's tentatively titled The Catalyst Summit, an invitation-only conference charged with exploring how to reverse the trend of decreasing feline visits among practices while cat ownership rises nationally.
A preliminary outline for the summit was revealed yesterday during AAFP's fall conference in Austin, Texas. At least 40 stakeholders will be invited to attend the meeting, which likely will take place in early February in Palm Springs, Calif. The group's intention is to explore the topic from a medical perspective.
Other recent focuses of the AAFP include companion animal pain management guidelines and welfare principles , as previously reported by DVM Newsmagazine.
