American Veterinarian Launches Hashtag Campaign in Conjunction With World Veterinary Day

Article

Veterinary professionals and pet owners are invited to share photographs, videos, and stories that celebrate what #AVeterinarianIs.

Coinciding with World Veterinary Day, American Veterinarian®—a premier multimedia provider of cutting-edge veterinary news, research, and conference coverage—will launch its #AVeterinarianIs campaign on April 28. The campaign is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to celebrate veterinarians and other animal health professionals for their commitment to improving the lives of animals everywhere.

“Veterinarians play a crucial role in the lives of pets and pet owners but are not always acknowledged for their hard work and dedication,” said Chris Hennessy, publisher of American Veterinarian®. “We are thrilled to bring recognition to this profession so that veterinarians feel empowered and encouraged to continue to enhance this field.”

The campaign encourages veterinary professionals and pet owners to share their thoughts about what being a veterinarian or having a veterinarian in their lives means to them. Participants can share photographs, videos, and comments on social media using #AVeterinarianIs. Submissions can also be sent via AmericanVeterinarian.com/share or emailed to info@americanveterinarian.com.

Additionally, the 2018 Atlantic Coast Veterinarian Conference (ACVC) is less than 6 months away. This regional continuing education event—now in its 29th year—will take place on October 8-11 at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. To register, visit acvc.org.
