In a dvm360® interview, Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conference (ACVC) faculty member Angie Arora, MSW, RSW, shares the moving life experiences that encouraged her to pursue social work that serves both pet owners and veterinary professionals facing hardship.
The following is a partial transcript of the video.
Angie Arora, MSW, RSW: I was inspired to become a social worker specifically in vet med in 2004. And it was that year that I was nursing my then sick dog, Monty, in his final weeks of life. And after he passed away in my arms, it was was quite a profound loss for me. And I had a bit of this light bulb moment that went off.
