Associations push for household cats
The Association of Avian Veterinarians and the Alliance of Veterinarians for the Environment are spreading the word via posters that cat abandonment should be abandoned and that cats are best kept in-house.

The two associations have joined the American Bird Conservancy (ABC)'sCats Indoors! Campaign which encourages responsible cat ownership for thebenefit of cats and birds. The program carries the support of national,state and local organizations, including The Humane Society of the UnitedStates and American Humane Association.
